"Eighteenth Century Mother Of Pearl Fan"
Mid-18th century fan with 14 strands in mother-of-pearl. Fan with romantic decoration on paper, painted in gouache, representing a gallant scene with 5 figures in a garden on the front and with landscape decor of a castle on an almost-island on the back. The frames are in openwork mother-of-pearl, pierced and adorned with silver metal with a floral motif. The fan is in good condition overall, with signs of use and one of the strands is broken at the base of the paper. Dimensions: Length of a strand: 26cm Length to deploy: 50cm
