Great Clock 50 Cm Gilt Bronze Era Napoléon III

Napoleon III period clock, high manufacture. Made of gray turquin marble shaded with white, smooth and shiny surface. Finely chiseled quality ornamentation in gilded bronze decorated with foliage, row of pearls, falling drapery, rosettes, musical instrument and a covered basin at the top.

The dial is also in marble, gilded Roman numerals in relief. Protected by curved and bevelled glass.

Original mechanism without modification, hour and half hour strike on an old bell.

Very decorative clock, beautiful contrast between the marble and the gilding. Very high quality set.
