Small Louis XVI lady's secretary in satin veneer (and various types of veneer), trompe-l'oeil fluted sides, opening to a flap with writing board revealing small drawers and lockers and two leaves in the lower part (with closed compartment), a belt drawer, stamped J. Chastel *, gray marble top, vintage late 18th century. This secretary is in very good condition. We have his key, the locks are working. The ornamentations are in finely chiseled gilt bronze, decorated with knots and a floral motif. It is stamped see photos. * J. Chastel: cabinetmaker working at the end of the 18th and early 19th centuries. Referenced in the book "Les cabinetistes du XIXème siècle 1795-1889" by D. Ledoux-Lebard. A note: some traces of restorations on the veneer (tiny cracks, a few scratches, tiny grafts), the leather of the writing case is a little worn, micro-chips on the edge of the marble, wear of time, take a good look at the photos.
