Adrien Faizelot DELORME or de LORME is the son of a Parisian master cabinetmaker, François Faizelot Delorme, born in 1691 and master before 1735.
Adrien acquired his master's degree on June 22, 1748 and moved to rue du Temple as a cabinetmaker and as a merchant.
In August 1768, he became a juror of his community to replace his father who had just died.
At first, like his father, he seems to have executed mostly varnished furniture.
But soon, according to the Almanacs of the time, he distinguished himself in "marquetry works" and as one of the most skilful and renowned in this type of work.
He practiced until 1783, then retired from business.
In both cases, those of his productions which have come down to us are of excellent quality.

His works, which bear witness to an amiable and brilliant fantasy, are among the most daring rockeries of the Louis XV period and are mainly characterized by curved chests of drawers made in the Regency and Louis XV style.

Adrien Faizelot Delorme signed his productions with the “DELORME” stamp, unlike his father “FD” and his brother Jean-Louis “JLF DELORME”
