Painter and pastelist of seascapes, landscapes, beach views, portraits and still lifes. Decorator. Student of JF Portaels at the Academy of Brussels. Started as a decorator, dealing with private houses and public buildings. Imagine symbolic landscapes populated by nymphs, fauns and goddesses of love. Turns after the GM I towards a prost-impressionist, with a rich palette, brown and gray tones, with a grainy texture. Works in the Ardennes, the Belgian Coast and Brittany. Member of Labor and of the artistic and literary circle of Brussels. The last exhibition held during his lifetime at the Isy Brachot gallery in 1937 was a failure. Saddened, disappointed and poor, he died a few months later. Retrospective at the Charlier Museum and at the Horizons gallery in Brussels (1991).
