"Gilt Bronze Clock Restoration Period"
Chiseled and gilded bronze clock from the Restoration period on the theme of Psyche and Love; the richly decorated frieze takes up the same theme; around a fountain Psyche represented at the foot of a chariot, Cupid at the foot of a terminal from which flames escape. The dial is all in chiseled and gilded bronze with Roman numerals. The wire movement has been revised by a watchmaker specializing in old watchmaking. Parisian work from the years 1820-1830.
