"Limoges Haviland Feu De Four Tea Service"
Rare complete tea service in Limoges porcelain, Haviland manufacture, Feu de Four model created by Frank Haviland at the end of the 19th century, inspired by the Impressionist movement. It includes 12 cups and 12 saucers, 1 teapot, 1 sugar bowl and 1 milk jug. The rose decoration is of course on the outside but also on the inside of the cups. The way of treating the decor is innovative, more natural, closer to nature; to obtain the tones desired by the decorator, a special firing was necessary. The porcelain is extremely fine, transparent to light. The service is in very good condition; only the sugar bowl has a tiny chip on the edge of the lid which can be easily restored.
