Emile Clavel, known as Iwill, was born in 1848. French landscape painter he painted Brittany very often and particularly Saint Quay Portrieux where he stayed for a long time, having built the Villa Sainte-Berthe which overlooks the Black Grève. The paintings of Emile Clavel are a testimony to the history of Saint Quay.
