Rare representation of Buddha child in bronze, traces of red lacquer and leaf gilding.
His jersey tied in the back, he stands on a double lotiform base, the right arm pointing to the ground with his index finger, and the left arm index pointed towards the sky, gesture called «Tarjani Mudra».

His forehead bears the urna, a cranial protuberance, a distinctive sign of the Buddha.
Urna should not be confused with the third eye (Trinitra) symbol of Shiva in Hinduism.

This is a rare and atypical representation from Chinese statuary art.
