Object description :

"Ex Voto Bottle Boat - Original Work From Lithuania Estonia Russia - Sailor Folk Art Baltic Countries XIXth"
Boat in a bottle, Ex-Voto, original work from Lithuania, Latvia or Estonia Russian.
Popular Marine Sailor Art period late 19th century.
Blown glass bottle with inside of the bottle bottom painted in blue white red, like the little Russian flag on the boat.
Boat made of wood (with a remarkable work of assembling the masts and ropes, pulleys in white glass beads);
the ship, a Three Masts, is fixed on a base representing the moving sea with in the background a coastal village with a church, a mill and a lighthouse.
Between the boat and the village, a handwritten label in the latin alphabet, in the language of a Baltic country (Estonian, Latvian or Lithuanian).
Neck surrounded by a rope tie painted in the colors of the Russian flag.
Good condition, small bubbles and fine impurities in the glass, indicating an old blowing.
Due to the fragility, shipment impossible, only handover.
