"Jean Perzel (1892-1986) Pair Of Art Deco Lamps 1930"
Rare pair of Art Deco lamps model 509 bis created in 1929 by the Perzel house in Paris signed J. PERZEL (Jean Perzel 1892-1986) authentic from the Art Deco period circa 1930 in chromed metal with a circular base ringed with a projection disc from which rises a flared shaft supporting a dome with a hemispherical body in thick frosted glass decorated with an elegant quarter-shade swiveling in chromed metal allowing to modulate and direct the light while creating a Cubist style and Modernist of the time. Good general and electrical condition (note some original chrome oxidation) they each measure 37 cm high X 20 cm wide. Since 1923, the Perzel workshops have perpetuated a lighting design that celebrates modernity and innovation. A living heritage nourished by a thought, a know-how and a passion embracing three generations.
