Interesting geometric composition by the Lyon artist Raymond Grandjean. The work is signed lower left and dedicated to Gisèle Tavet and Jean Aster who worked for the Lyon theater. The work is in good condition but has some visible dirt on the photos. 31/22 cm or 44 / 34.5 cm with the GRANDJEAN Raymond frame (1929-2006) GRANDJEAN Raymond is a French painter and writer born December 11, 1929 in Lyon and died May 5, 2006 in Lyon. Raymond Grandjean began painting in the 1940s. From March to April 1948, Raymond Grandjean had his first collective exhibition in Lyon. His work was made up of numerous canvases and some evoke a style close to Paul Klee or Joan Miró. He has exhibited and painted many murals in Lyon, notably in the Lyon metro in the Gratte-ciel station. One of his frescoes was unfortunately destroyed in 2010 by negligence. Exhibition: - Philadelphia Gallery in Paris, in 1959, 1961 and 1963. - Paul Gauzit, owner of the Le Lutrin gallery (Lyon 2) for a large part of his career. - Exhibited at the Biennale de Paris, in 1961 - Exhibition 50 years of collages at the Saint-Étienne museum and at the Musée des arts décoratifs in Paris, in 1964.
