"The Quai Malaquais, Paris. Watercolor, Early Twentieth."
Watercolor signed "F.Barile". This painting can be located on Quai Malaquais, according to the statue of Voltaire, which can be seen from behind, in the foreground. This bronze statue of Voltaire, having been melted down in 1941, under the Vichy regime, we can deduce that this watercolor dates from the first half of the 20th century. We can note some rednesses, in the upper part, but that does not spoil the beautiful light that emerges from this painting. frame dimensions: 70 cm x 58 cm (48 cm x 36 cm at sight).
