Important and superb Japanese porcelain flowerpot with Imari decoration from the end of the 19th century. Its circular shape has grooves known as melon ribs. Its decor, of great finesse, features characters in reserve but also carp and squirrels on a vegetal background. Japan, 1880s / 1900s. Good general condition except for some very slight wear in the decor, normal for the seniority. No shock, crack or restoration. Very generous proportions: Total diameter 37 cm. Height 23 cm.
