Carrara marble sculpture representing a bust of a woman with a bun signed Edmond de Laheudrie, XIXth century. Note some traces on the marble, see photos. Edmond de Laheudrie 1861-1946 French sculptor and writer. Pupil of Mercia. Born in Trévières (Calvados), he studied in Paris with Pierre Jules Cavelier and Louis Ernest Barrais and Marius Jean Antonin Mercié before exhibiting at the Salon des Artistes Français and receiving a second class medal in 1901 Former mayor (from 1896 to 1900) of the city of Trévières, of which he made himself the historian (Histoire de Trévières).
