"Large Painted Carved Wood Niche, Qajar Period Iran XIXth"
Curious & large wooden carved painted niche from Persia mosque ?, Iran Qajar period (1786-1925) and more precisely 2nd part of the XIXth centuryThe assembly of different elements brought together is especially visible on the back of the woodwork and show the construction complexity .
The whole is studded with forged nails.
On the upper part, a large geometric rosette (radiant floral motifs), with small rustic architectural landscapes on each side.
The set is original varnished.
Sizes: Height 128cm * width 71cm and depth approximately 27cm
Condition: an old splice on the frame lower right edge of the niche (please check the last photo)
