Colors called "a compendario", in blue and yellow / orange shades, characteristic of this Louis XIV period.

Poular custom was to give this type of gift to a future mother, and the candle was light at the start of childbirth. The birth of the baby before the flame went out was a sign of happiness for the baby. Funny and endearingwitness from the popular French traditions of this period.

Good condition; just 2 enamel chips on the back in the edge of the crown, and another one the side of the base of the statue.

Sizes: height 34 by approx 16.5cm diameter
