"Suite Of 4 Earthenware Apothecary Jars, Paris 1820, Deroche"
Nice series of two pairs of pharmacy jars, fine white earthenware, circa 1820, decorated in Paris in the workshops of Deroche, which was the specialty at the time. Decor in green, manganese, red, well contrasted. Beautiful inscriptions in ecu-shaped cartridges. Our jars are not signed, but you can see on the last photo, listed in the French Heritage, in Nuits-Saint-Georges, Apothecary of the Saint-Laurent hospital from 1818, a set of 102 jars similar to ours, some of which have the author's mark: Deroche / Rue JJ Rousseau / Paris, or, Deroche in Paris.
Dimensions: 24cm x 12cm, and 17cm x 9cm ..
Good condition, 2 chips at the base, (arrows on photos), otherwise mint condition, no scratches.
