Géo De Vlamynck is a Belgian painter, interior designer and frescoist born in 1897 in Bruges and died in 1980 in Brussels He studied from 1909 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bruges, then continued his studies at University College Sleeschool in London, at the Académie des Beaux-Arts de Bruxelles (1919-1925) with Delville and Montald and at the Institute of Architecture and Decorative Arts in La Cambre (1925-26) with G. Van de Woestyne.
Prix de Rome in 1921. Professor at the Academy of Louvain in 1926 as well as at the Academy of Brussels from 1939 to 1967.
He transcended the classical nude to make it abstract.
Retrospective in 1997.
The Brussels municipality of Schaerbeek has transformed its former workshop rue de la Constitution n ° 7 into a museum.
