Biography:
Affortunato Gory is an active Italian sculptor from 1895 till 1925, year or he decides in Paris.
A native of Florence, he studied the sculpture, to the Academia in Florence, supervised by Augusta Rivalta.
Gory as many Italian artists, emigrate in Paris early-20th century to exercise its Art.
He changed his name of Fortunato Gori in Affortunato Gory and began to expose to The French Artists Show of 1902 with a feminine bust in bronze and marble. He will present it his works until 1923.
Gory owes his success thanks to his feminine full of grace sculptures, as well as for the combined use of bronze, marble, alabaster and the ivory.
