When Guy Laroche (1921-1989) launched his Haute Couture House in 1957, he had one goal in mind: freeing women's bodies from the New Look and offering them a “refined and discreet” elegance. He made himself known with his subversive cuts with surprising details. Her creations mark their era: pieces such as the coat dress or the shirt dress become an integral part of modern feminine wardrobes. The shops become meeting places for actresses such as Jane Fonda, Faye Dunaway or Mireille Darc.
