Object description :

"Venezia, Santa Maria Del Rosario"
Venice, Church of Santa Maria del Rosario.
Francesco Tironi (Venice 1745-1798) attr.
Oil on canvas
Beautiful old frame in carved and gilded wood
Canvas measures 34 x 42 frame 40 x 50
This small jewel oil on canvas represents the church of Santa Maria del Rosario better known under the name of "Church of the Gesuati".
The building overlooks the lagoon in front of the Giudecca and it is really interesting to note the many and constant changes undergone by the 18th century buildings on the sides of the church during the 19th century.
The painting has all the characteristics of the Venetian school of the Golden Age, as 700 of the splendid views and rococo furniture so loved and sought after by collectors.
The descriptive and chromatic peculiarities are closely linked to the work of Francesco Tironi and his workshop, while the size of the work is typical of works made to meet the needs of refined and well-off travelers. Indeed, in addition to the realization of major works, Tironi's studio specialized in the representations to a limited extent of the most significant panoramas of the extraordinary Lagoon City.
The painting is on the first canvas and in very good condition, perfectly framed.
We preferred not to intervene on small defects and leave the work as it is.
Certificate of authenticity Tracked and insured shipment in a wooden case.
