"Hermès 1930s Suitcase Initials Jkb"
Very beautiful Hermès suitcase 1930s initials JBK. Founded in Paris in 1837 by Thierry Hermès, the Hermès company, originally a harness and saddle manufacturer, still belongs today mainly to its heirs. This brand specializes in luxury products and is known worldwide, especially for its legendary "Birkin" bag. The descendants of Thierry Hermès, Adolphe (1866-1933) and Émile-Maurice Hermès (1871-1951), bet on the development of the luggage industry through the development of the automobile. They proved to be innovative by transposing the know-how of the saddler harnesser, in particular the “saddle stitch” sewing. This linen canvas and studded natural leather suitcase, with reinforcements at the corners and a leather handle that allows it to be carried by hand, dates from the 1930s. The suitcase includes gilded brass closures, engraved "Hermès Paris" as well as two straps leather inside it. This item has been personalized by its first owner since it bears the initials "JKB". This suitcase has remained in good condition despite a few stains on its exterior. The closing mechanism works perfectly. Length: 46 cm Width: 82 cm Depth: 22 cm Weight: 6 kg
