Important canvas by Jean Claude L'ERNOUT (1939-2016). The Belgian artist from Mouscron left a collection of surrealist and symbolist works which oscillate between Magritte and Dali. Our Gallery has acquired a collection of works directly from the artist's family. Present in many Belgian galleries, he has participated in a good number of exhibitions in Europe. The 1979 painting that we are presenting is an important old work because of its size and symbolism. It is one of the main works of the Artist. It is called: "The mirific escape of the goddess". It is an oil on canvas on a frame of dimensions: 110 x 85 and 115 x 90 with its frame (wooden stick in silver gray color). In good original condition.
