"Large Table Gardener XIXth"
Description :Chiseled and gilded bronze, oak, brass and tortoise shell, zinc.
This exceptional planter is characterized by a contrast between the four curved panels in beautiful Boulle marquetry and a bronze frame with a “jumble” and naturalistic decoration of vines and ears of wheat.
This contrast is very much in the spirit of 18th century charming objects.
The bronzes are striking for the important amount of detail practically in the round.
The theme of wine in bronze mounts is also linked to the use of this planter as a large cooler.
