"Entomologist Showcase, Collection Of Insects, 20th Century"
Souvenirs from the collections appreciated at the end of the 19th century and in the first half of the 20th century, the small entomologist showcase elegantly displayed several specimens in ranges of similar colors.
The small size of our collection nevertheless reveals a great quality, the mark on the back confirms it to us. Naturalized and put under glass by Maison Nérée Boubée & Cie, these insects have frequented one of the most famous houses (in the world!) in terms of naturalism.
Founded by grandfather Nérée Boubée (1806 - 1862) in 1845, the house was damaged by the floods of 1910 and then closed in 1915 on the death of Ernest Boubée. Nérée (1893 - 1967), son of Ernest, reopened the brand which quickly became the reference it had once again been. If the man was more focused on geology, his house presented and assembled this type of small display cases which are again in demand today.
