"Mustard Pot (one Pair) In Silver And Translucent Crystal, France 1819-1838"
Pair of mustard pots on a silver pedestal and translucent crystal in the shape of a Medicis vase. The mount of the mustard maker rests on a quadrangular base molded with a frieze of ovals and supported by four lion's paw feet. The body is decorated with four large palmettes and its upper part decorated with a frieze of water leaves. Two roll-up side handles are finished with swan heads. The slightly domed circular lid is underlined by a frieze of water leaves and topped with a pinecone grip. The receptacles are in cut crystal with a pattern of diamond points. They are original. Restoration period. Each piece is perfectly stamped. Silver hallmarks: head of Michelangelo / 1819-1838 / title 950/1000 Hallmarks of Paris Master Goldsmith: Denis Garreau insculpé in 1817 Height: 13.5 cm Length: 12.5 cm Diameter: 7.5 cm Net weight: 267 gr pair of mustard ladles in silver and vermeil; Minerva punch 950/1000 Weight: 27gr This set is in excellent condition, glass included
