Object description :

"Beautiful Dish In Majolica From Deruta, XVII Th Century"
Beautiful majolica dish from Deruta.
he presented a decoration of fantastic animals arranged in semicircles and themselves separated by an imaginary floral decoration.
in the center in a medallion appears a love: eros or cupid in a landscape.
each of the registers are separated by yellow hatched borders that can be found on the edge of the dish.
on the reverse we can see circular traces in the enamel as well as the earth itself in the center.
we can assume that this large dish was intended to become a tazza or to be placed on a pedestal.
in fact it was probably a Tazza but the pedestal is missing!
the general condition is good despite a few scratches. a very beautiful and very decorative dish.
