"Opaline Water Pot Decoded By Desvignes 19 Th Century"
High shape soap opal crystal ewer. It has a gold, silver and blue decoration of garlands and bouquets of flowers, punctuated with forget-me-nots. This decoration is typical of the productions carried out in the workshop of Jean-Baptiste Desvignes, who obtained a patent for invention in 1817. The raised handle and the collar are decorated with a large gold thread. Three hoops surround the base of the collar. A frieze of palm leaves completes the decor. French work from Charles X period Height: 28 cm
