" Small Clock Portico Era Empire"
Small portico clock from the Empire period. Consisting of an architecture with two marble columns and an ornamentation in gilded bronze with mercury. Finely chiseled bronze with rich decoration of caryatids "supporting" the entablature decorated with palmettes and an eagle with outstretched wings. The space between the columns is occupied by a drapery chiseled with griffins and a very beautiful pendulum with the figure of a psyche holding a bird; Domed white enamel dial underlined by a chiseled outline of palmettes.

Original mechanism without modification, suspension with silk thread, striking of the hours and half-hours on an old bell.

Uncommon model, well proportioned, interesting, rich and varied decor typical of the empire.

Perfect authenticity and a remarkable state of conservation.
