"Georges Brunet-mahuet (french, Early 20th Century)"
The oriental genre scene with Odalisque playing the flute was performed at the beginning of the 20th century by the French painter Georges Brunet-Mahuet. There isn't a lot of information about the artist. In the artBook database we found two works by him, "La terrasse sur la baie" (sale of Douillard - Sanson, 14.10.1989) and the portrait of Chekri Ganem, French-speaking Lebanese journalist and writer, the lawyer vehemently for the independence of Lebanon from the Ottoman Empire (sale of Gros & Delettrez SAS, May 22, 2017).
