Moldovan Kilim 307 X 218 Cm flag

Object description :

"Moldovan Kilim 307 X 218 Cm"
Moldovan kilim, wool, 1970-80. Very good state.
Elegant kilim with a flower pattern on a black background. Two bouquets of roses and lilies of the valley are surrounded by a garland of flowers. A few abraches (change of wool bath) give an authentic side to this original kilim. Bright colors.

The influence comes from the Damascus rose whose rose motif inspired the Safavid rugs, which in turn influenced European tapestries. At the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century, the göl farangi motif which means rose or flower of France is found in the East on the carpets and kilims of Karabakh (Caucasus), on some Iranian carpets such as bidjars and bakthiars of the village from Faradoumbeh, as well as Moldavian kilims from the Balkans. The art of weaving carpets and kilims is very old in the Slavic countries and the Balkans, especially due to the conquests of the Ottoman Empire from the middle of the 14th century.

We ship our carpets and kilims by Chronopost or Colissimo, at our expense (up to 30 kg) in mainland France and Europe. Do not hesitate to contact us by phone or email.
