Circa 1750 England (?) Two Rare bed lambrequins in quilted Indian style with Chinese Chinoiserie decor probably around 1750. Wood-plank printing on cotton canvas in brown, purple, red and hand-brushed indigo blue. Drawing in vegetal and architectural rockery in the style of Alexis Peyrotte and Jean-Baptiste Pillement. Genre scene composed of Chinese couples, in a sublimated and exotic vision of the Chinoiserie fashion under Louis XV and in Europe. Canvas in Indian dating before the lifting of the Prohibition of painted canvases in France in 1759. Diamond quilting sewn at the front point, and ecru linen lining. Note rare small holes. Some very slight variations in colors that have become pastellized. Resistant and cleaned set. Good general condition of color and conservation.
