Signed and dated 71 lower right.
The frame is in mahogany, the very good quality mat is made of 3 materials : cardboard, fabric and wood edging.
The design is in good condition, except for a slight curl on the top and traces of use on the frame.
At the start of the 1950s, François Arnal painted pictures with allusive shapes.
After a trip to Mexico and the United States, he leaves to live in Tahiti where he creates colorful works in which he uses a "kind of primitive language". The artist returned to Paris in the 1960s and turned to sculpture.
He creates the Bombardments, traces of objects made with an aerosol spray.
He seeks to integrate the artist into life and, with this objective, he created Atelier A from 1968 to 1975.
François Arnal is exhibited in the most prestigious places: the Guggenheim in New York, the Museum of Rio de Janeiro , Chicago Institute of Art, etc.
