Empire lion ormolu and mother of pearl paperweight, France - Empire period circa 1810-1820.

Chiseled and mercury gilt bronze (ormolu) ; the lion is set onto a mother-of-pearl platform.

Very beautiful Empire period object, particularly refined, in excellent condition. A rare item, ideal to complete an Empire decoration as a desk decoration.
