Superb drawing of a rare quality representing the General André Massena, officer of the army of Napoleon. As indicated by the flag at the bottom of the drawing, he was famous during the battles of Montenotte, Rivoli and Zurich. Perhaps a preparatory drawing for a calendar as shown in the month of October indicated above.
