Two Great Archangels Forming Pair In Polychrome Wood Eighteenth

Two large Archangels in carved and polychrome wood forming a pair. Probably Gabriel the Messenger of the Good News and Raphael the Healer. They are both kneeling and facing each other. One has his hands folded in prayer and the other has his hands on his chest. They are both dressed in a drape and each wear a large pair of Archangelic wings. The polychromy is still very present. They are in good condition and come directly from the chapel of an Abbey in South West France and have never been presented on the Art market before!
