FORTE-ÉPÉE DE CAVALERIE, D'ARSENAL CALLED "WALLON", Former Monarchy, circa 1650 - 1680. Steel frame with one branch. Simple pontate. Quillon and screed cover. Oval shaped pommel. Wooden fuze entirely filigree with silver thread and ribbon, iron ferrules. Straight and flat blade without decoration. Blade length 86.5 cm. "This model is of English origin, the style of which was widely used in France from around 1775 to 1785" Michèle Pétard "DES SABERS ET DES ÉPÉE", first volume, page 96, figure 82D.
