"Jug On Pedestal In Silver, France By Fray Et Fils Circa 1875"
Oriental style guilloche silver jug on pedestal. The body with multiple threads and friezes is decorated in the lower part and on each side with a numbered foliage cartouche. The spout is zoomorphic with a clip in the form of cut-out leather. This decoration is repeated on the handle fitted with insulators. The hinged lid ends in a flower shaped socket. Silver 950/1000, hallmarks for works intended for export. This piece was made in the workshop of Maitre Orfèvre Fray et fils in Paris for the foreign market, around 1875 Height: 24 cm Width: 13 cm Length: 21 cm Weight: 535 gr Capacity: 950 ml Very good condition / without shocks no scratches
