"René Tener-1845-1925"
Born October 10, 1845 in La Teurtheville-Hague, a village near Cherbourg (in Manche), Ernest-Louis-Ferdinand Renet came from his earliest childhood to settle in L'Isle-Adam where his grandfather had been named justice of the peace. With his brushes, Renet-Tener was the poet of the shaded shores, the sky of the Ile-de-France and the huts battered by the winds in the hague. He rests in the cemetery of L'Isle-Adam near his friend and master, Jules Dupré.
