"Anne Gacon –camargue, Backlight – Circa 1970"
French painter, born in Écrouves (Meurthe-et-Moselle) on September 15th, 1913. She studied at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Nancy and exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Indépendants in Paris, where she was a member.
Her style is figurative with touches of modernism. She was also a successful novelist and a street in Marseille is named after her. She died on May 2, 1987 in Marseille.
