X-shaped stool, curule, in gilded and patinated bronze. Socket with lion heads and endings of the claw feet, patinated bronze. Creation around 1930 on order, inspired by the curule seat of ancient Rome. The curule seat is a symbol of power in ancient Rome, on which could sit the Roman magistrates and promagistrates possessing the imperium (power to constrain and punish).
