Biography :

Emile Lapierre (1817-1886).
French landscape painter, born in Paris in 1817 and died in Fontainebleau on 1886.
It was the Jean-Victor Bertin (1767-1842) pupil.
He regularly exposes to the Parisian Show from 1837 till 1878. He obtained a second-class medal in 1848.
He awarded Chevalier of French Legion of Honor in 1869.

During summer, 1837, Delacroix asked Emile Lapierre to correct the drawings of Solange Sand, as well as he had made him for George Sand.
