"Pair Of Engraved Glass Cruets And Their Vermeil Basin. XIX Century"Pair of engraved glass cruets and their vermeil basin. The cruets are baluster in shape, they rest on a circular pedestal decorated with water leaves and four-leaf clovers, covered beak and ovoid body. The belly of the cruets bears a frieze engraved with reeds on one and grape clusters on the other. The handle in the shape of a stick is screwed onto two beaded collars surrounding the body of the burettes. The lid has a lively outline, surmounted by an orb.
The gilded silver basin is low central depression and diamond shaped. It is adorned at the edge with a frieze of net and the marli is embossed with aquatic plants and stylized vine branches.
