This sumptuous still life (oil painting on canvas, 126 x 91 cm) consists of a rich floral bouquet resting on a shelf, on grapes resting on bunches of grapes, a pomegranate, two peaches and some oysters, within the center a small monkey, which is contrasted by a parrot on the left.
One can only be delighted to admire this extraordinary painting, probably originally created to embellish part of a woodwork, as suggested by the rounded angles: the richness of the composition is unique, with a panoply of species florals worthy of a botanical study.
The remarkable current floral selection, rendered with sufficient control to make the unique flowers almost palpable, constitutes a significant further acquisition of the catalog of Franz Werner von Tamm, known as Monsù Daparait (Hamburg 1658-Vienna 1754), who has had a great career. success in Rome, between 1685 and about 1700.
