Carved Cane, Folk Art, Primitive, Grotesque Character, 19th Century flag

Object description :

"Carved Cane, Folk Art, Primitive, Grotesque Character, 19th Century"
Beautiful folk art item, primitive, and usefull. Using the knots of the wood for the creation of this cane, it is surmounted by a grotesque character. The grip is done thanks to its long nose, and its face is decorated with 2 ivory eyes, a small discreet engraving on the back of the head symbolizing the hair.
Antique working, European, probably French, from the late 19th century.
Excellent condition, no flaw, no break, wear at the bottom, because no brass part!
Dimensions: 82cm Height x 7cm width (with nose)
