He obtained a second class medal in 1848 and was appointed Knight of the Legion of Honor in 1869.In the summer of 1837 (according to Joubin, t.I, p. 438), Delacroix asked Lapierre to correct the drawings of Solange Sand, as he did for those of Maurice Sand.
