"Persian Moud Mahi Rug, Iran, 253 Cm X 324 Cm, Wool And Silk, Circa 1980, Very Good Condition"
Moud carpet, originally from the region of the city with the same name, located about 300 km from Macchad, also known for its wonderful carpets.
The Mouds are high quality rugs, we recognize two types:
the "Moud Mahi", with herati patterns like our model and having a star shaped medallion in beige color, either in shades of light red, light blue , orange and the "Moud Garden" only decorated with herati motifs without medallion.
Our model is made of wool mixed with silk, the whole on a cotton weft for a density of around 450,000 knots per M2.
The use of silk makes it possible to enhance the shine of the velvet.
This carpet is in very good condition with only minimal wear.
This carpet has been professionally and ecologically cleaned.
