"Bidjar Rug, 182 Cm X 243 Cm, Iran, Hand Knotted Wool, 1970, Very Good Condition"
"Persian Bidjar rug, Wool from the highlands, 182 cm wide x 243 cm long, Iran, in hand knotted wool, double knots, circa 1970. BIDJAR carpet in perfect condition, beautiful silky wool of an orange-red and blue color knotted for around 350,000 knots per M2.
The shaving of this wool rug is so precise that the material is like silk. Not far from Sanandaj, the region of the finely knotted Senneh carpet, is the small town of Bijar which, with its surrounding villages, produces what is undoubtedly the heaviest carpet in Persia.
Heavy and thick, Bijar rugs are difficult to handle but robust for eternity. This carpet has been professionally and ecologically cleaned. FREE SHIPPING FOR FRANCE as for all of our carpets!
