Oval pastel signed in the middle on the left, beautiful frame in gilded wood with a ribbon bow, representing a pretty young girl in a white dress and red ribbon in her hair, mid XIXth century, good condition for this technique. Frame size 71 x 53 cm, frame 40 x 48 cm Pierre-Joseph Dedreux-Dorcy is a French painter, born in Paris in 1789, and died in Bellevue (Switzerland) in 1874, uncle of Alfred de Dreux, studied in the Guérin workshop. Painter of young girls, his portraits are close to the style of Greuze, like Bajazet and the Shepherd, preserved in the Museum of Fine Arts of Bordeaux.
